New Residence Application Filing Period for Academic Year 2009-2010
If you are currently not classified as a resident for tuition purposes and want to apply for the in-state tuition benefit, please file by the appropriate dates below.
Fall Term 2009 - please file your application with the appropriate admissions office by 5 p.m. Monday, August 31, 2009.
Spring Term 2010 - please file your application with the appropriate admissions office by 5 p.m. Friday, January 15, 2010.
Summer Session I 2010 - please file your application with the appropriate admissions office by 5 p.m. June 15, 2010 (last day of exams).
Summer Session II 2010 - please file your application with the appropriate admissions office by 5 p.m. July 23, 2010 (last day of exams).
Military Benefit – please submit the required application and supporting documentation to the appropriate admission office no earlier than 30-days prior to the term for which you are applying, but no later than the first day of classes for that term. Applications submitted later than the first day of class will not be accepted until the next enrolling term.
Teacher Benefit - please submit the required application and supporting documentation to the appropriate admission office no earlier than 30-days prior to the term for which you are applying, but no later than the first day of classes for that term. Applications submitted later than the first day of class will not be accepted until the next enrolling term.
UNC Employee Dependent/Spouse Benefit - please provide a letter from your HR certifying official verifying UNC or UNC Hospital full-time, permanent employment to the appropriate admission office no earlier than 30-days prior to the term for which you are applying. Employment must be in effect on the first day of class for this benefit to be granted.
Residency applications for an expired term are not accepted.
