When are diplomas distributed?

Diplomas are available for distribution to all Professional Students at the May Commencement Ceremony. All diplomas not picked up are then mailed approximately 2 weeks after graduation.

August diplomas are ordered and mailed to students permanent billing address approximately sometime in October.

December diplomas are ordered and mailed to students permanent billing address approximately sometime in March.

How may I request a replacement diploma?

Replacement Diplomas are submitted once a month. Individuals, who would like a replacement diploma regardless of the reason, must put the request in writing to the Records Section in the Registrar's Office with all the pertinent information and make a check payable to UNC in the amount of $25.00.

There is a wrong/misspelled name on my diploma. What should I do to fix this?

If name on diploma is incorrect due to fault of UNC, the diploma will be reordered at no charge to student. However, if student failed to correct their name or notify us of how they wanted their name to appear on their diploma, they must pay $25.00 and return the incorrect diploma and we will reorder it.

All names changes must be completed on a name change form or put in writing to the Records Section of the Registrar's Office.

How can I request a degree application for graduation?

All degree candidates should contact their department for information concerning the application. They will also provide details and the deadlines for submission.
