Criteria for Evaluating Requests for Wireless Connectivity in Classroom Spaces

Developed by the Classroom Design and Advisory Committee (CDAC), 9/3/02

Request(s) submitted to the CDAC for classroom wireless connectivity will be evaluated as follows:

1. If the space is NOT a classroom space, the request will NOT be approved.
   
   
2. Based on available resources, requests will be further evaluated and prioritized relatively based on the following criteria:
   
   
   • Whether the classroom is NOT currently wired per seat for students
     
     
   • Whether the classroom has 75 seats or less
     
     
   • Whether there is a demonstrated plan for using the space
     
     
   • Whether the classroom is a general purpose classroom

Requests best meeting the criteria above will be given priority for resources. The CDAC will not allocate more than 50% of ATN's wireless networking budget per semester barring extraordinary circumstances.
