Summer Sessions 2010 Classroom Scheduling Information

Course schedule maintenance (the period of time when the system is open for changes, additions and deletions, etc. ) opens for the two summer sessions (103, 104) on October 12, 2009.

The system will remain accessible for these changes until November 10, 2009 at 4:00 p.m.

Please use the SIS-C system for course additions, time changes, etc. You will not use PeopleSoft for the upcoming summer (103, 104). Deletions will still be sent to the Scheduling Office. You will use Ad Astra to make room/equipment feature requests or room assignments to your priority rooms.

Summer sessions do not require the Distribution of Courses form or the Large Classroom Request Form.

Maymester courses are coordinated through the Summer School. They should have an 01M to 09M section number. Maymester courses should have a course session definition form.

If you have any questions, please contact the Scheduling Office at 2-6093.

Fall Semester 2010 Classroom Scheduling Information

Course Schedule Maintenance for Fall 2010 opens October 1, 2009. All departmental course schedulers in the Graduate/Undergraduate Academic Unit (AU = GU) will have until January 6 at 4:00 p.m. to verify and update fall class schedule information. After that date, Course Schedule Maintenance will close so our office can begin to assign classrooms for the Fall and produce the online directory.

Course Schedule Maintenance for the Law, Medical and Dental Schools and the MBA program will remain open for these units until the close of the extended schedule maintenance period for fall semester.

For the first time, you will be updating your course information in the PeopleSoft system. You will not be given access to this system until you have attended a training session. Please contact Cindy Stone at cwstone@email.unc.edu to schedule your training.

Since no Fall 2010 (2109) information is in SIS-C, we will not be sending you the normal updated Semester Section Books. We will give you information on reports that will replace the Semester Section Book in PeopleSoft as soon as possible.

If you need formal training in using Ad Astra for scheduling or requesting rooms, please contact the scheduling office at 962-6093.
